Chat Change - Good or Bad?

It seems as though the current chat system we have is never used, and is well, just disgusting to say the least.
My idea was to migrate to IRC. Most of you, by now, should know what IRC is if you've been on the internet for as long as I have.
But anyway, I was thinking of replacing the chat system with a Java IRC client, however, I want your opinions.
Comment this post and let me know what you think, is it a good idea or a bad one?

Anime Media Frenzy

Not sure if there's really a frenzy over all the anime I've uploaded, but I needed a creative title. Anywho, it's been a busy and fun-filled week packed with anime episodes. This week there was no new Blade Of The Immortal or Blassreiter, but I've been reading a bit on the subbing group for Blassreiter, and 13-14 should be out soon. Also might be worthy to note, as I'll be uploading The O.C. seasons 3-4, and will be up by the next BE news post. Seasons 3-4 are the final 2 seasons of The O.C., so everyone should enjoy that. Here's this week's media:

I peeked around at a few sites and Naruto Shippuuden is officially out of fillers (for those who didn't yet know). Episode 72 marked the first episode of the normal, non-filler ark. Also worthy to note is that Soul Eater 22 was subbed by a different, and not as good subbing group. Once the normal subbing group releases episode 22, I'll get it uploaded. If the normal subbing group keeps up the slow episode subs, I'll just switch over to the currently new subbing group for good.

Ok, so here I am yet again, with more media. I finished uploading The O.C season 2, and that's in this news post. I start school next week, so I'll be busy again and thus will have less free time. Just a heads up when it comes to Bleach & Naruto Shippuuden... Naruto Shippuuden might be out of fillers. I haven't been watching them, but the other day I did read that episodes after episode 71 will be out of the filler ark. As for Bleach, it's still in fillers, and there is no sign of it getting out of fillers anytime soon.

Heroes Season 2 MKV Coming Soon

I have just received Heroes Season 2 in the mail this morning. Once I get home from work, I will begin encoding them. I will try to get at least 1 episode done today so that you guys can download and take a look and give me some feedback before doing more.
The other thing I wanted to make mention of is that a new layout will be coming to Blankevolution very soon. I do new layouts because I know when I have a site that has a fresh look, I tend to work on it more. The new layout will be very slick and I am trying to keep people's monitors and browsers in mind for this next layout. I will not explain any more about it right now but keep a look out for a forum topic that I will create soon which will show a preview of the layout and allow you guys to offer suggestions.

The size is about 60mb. Since my last reformat, I have somehow lost my configuration settings of how I encoded Heroes Season 1. Until I can remember them, I might be releasing the episodes in this sort of quality. 60mb for ~10min is quite a bit though.
